Job Description The Opportunity: Lead Our Distribution Network’s Future We’re seeking a transformative and results-oriented leader to serve as our new Vice President of Distribution. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic operator to lead a brand-new greenfield distribution center in Garland, Utah. At over 1.2 million square feet, this facility is a significant asset to our network. You’ll be the key driver in optimizing our labor force to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs and ultimately enhance our bottom line. We need a hands-on executive who can inspire and develop a high-performing team while directly impacting the company’s financial success through savvy P&L management. A day in the office looks like this: Responsibilities
P&L Management & Labor Optimization:
Directly manage the distribution center’s budget and KPIs, with a sharp focus on improving profitability through strategic labor optimization. Identify and implement new processes to increase productivity and reduce costs, ensuring a positive return on investment. Visionary Leadership & High Energy:
Lead and mentor a team of exempt-level managers, supervisors and over
300+
non-exempt employees. Foster an environment of continuous improvement and high morale. Inspire a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while coaching and developing direct reports and building strong communication and ownership. Operational Excellence & Volume Forecasting:
Oversee daily activities including receiving, storage and fulfillment. Ensure seamless operations across departments and compliance with safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc.). Accurately forecast and manage operational volume using historical data and market trends to inform staffing, resource allocation and budget planning. Strategic Partnership:
Collaborate with the executive team to establish and execute ambitious yet achievable goals. Use data-driven insights to shape long-term supply chain strategy. Qualifications
Leadership Acumen & Financial Savvy
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution center management within a high-volume environment, with a proven track record of P&L responsibility. Demonstrated ability to drive financial results through labor optimization, process improvements and cost reduction strategies. Experience in managing high-value capital investment projects, including automation, MHE and software integrations (WMS, TMS and LMS). A talent for fostering loyalty, collaboration and communication across different departments. Required Experience
Prior experience in a distribution center is a must 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, high-volume LTL and small parcel operations Extensive background in storage utilization, including both rack and bulked inventory Proven experience with the greenfielding of a distribution center is a significant plus Deep knowledge of conveying and sortation systems, with a strong background in managing operations involving both conveyable and nonconveyable items Additional Information
