The VP of Distribution is a key leadership role within the Serena & Lily organization. This role is responsible for driving best-in-class operational performance across our digital fulfillment network, distribution centers, and end-to-end supply chain. Responsibilities: Develop Operations Excellence Strategy:
Build and execute an enterprise-wide roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic goals for profitable growth. Drive Continuous Improvement:
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable the Distribution center to meet and exceed customer expectations both internally and externally. Influence Without Authority:
Inspire and engage stakeholders at all levels to embrace operational excellence and sustain changes. Empower management team to prioritize daily work, manage appropriate resources and create flexible staffing model that allows the DC to meet or exceed daily inbound and outbound goals. Facilitate Cross-Functional Projects:
Partner cross functionally with leaders in supply chain, distribution, sourcing, merchandising, IT, and finance to align improvement initiatives with business priorities. Work closely with third party relevant vendors, to optimize warehouse management system and help to deploy automation solutions to streamline Distribution operations. Identify & Deliver Financial Savings:
Lead initiatives to uncover cost savings opportunities across the supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and fulfillment operations while maintaining or improving service levels. Work with the Transportation and Logistics function to manage inbound receipt of inventory and optimize outbound shipping expenses. Measure & Report Impact:
Develop key metrics and scorecards to track performance, quantify financial impact, and ensure accountability for savings goals. Partner with GDC Human Resources Manager in optimizing work force, including an appropriate mix of permanent and temporary labor resources. Work with staff to design processes and standards of the Distribution Center and ensure there is tracking and monitoring of compliance to any policies that exist in the building. Qualifications: 15+ years of progressive experience in distribution, operations, supply chain, or process improvement roles within retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods. Experience with complex operational, process, and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design. Six Sigma certification a plus. Strong process, manufacturing, or engineering background with an ability to understand work flow and throughput in the operation. Able to work collaboratively across functions and synthesize multiple points of view into a streamlined action plan. Able to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company. Able to hit the ground running - a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize projects to delegate tasks appropriately. Strong communications skills (both oral and written) Compensation: $215-240K per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills. Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena & Lily’s benefits. Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan. During the first year of employment, full-time employees accrue fourteen days of PTO and six paid holidays throughout the year. Seniority level
