SET THE COURSE
The Corporate Internal Travel Specialist coordinates domestic and international travel for company employees, ensuring cost efficiency, policy compliance, and exceptional service. This role manages individual and group bookings, temporary housing arrangements, ground transportation, and vendor relationships while providing timely traveler support and maintaining accurate reporting for leadership.
BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
Arrange domestic and international travel for employees, including air, hotel, and ground transportation.
Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, providing information and completing transactions quickly, accurately, and cost-efficiently.
Assist travelers in resolving issues and complications during travel.
Train employees on self-service booking tools to ensure compliance with company travel policies.
Coordinate group meetings, negotiate contracts, and arrange lodging, venues, and transportation.
Provide accurate routing, pricing, and itinerary options; manage reservation changes.
Negotiate favorable pricing and long-term contracts with vendors for travel, temporary housing, parking, and related services.
Manage airline reward points, unused tickets, upgrades, and lounge access to maximize value.
Ensure accurate allocation of GL codes for all travel-related expenses; process expenses, reconcile invoices, and resolve billing discrepancies.
Use computerized reservation and ticketing systems to book and issue itineraries.
Maintain and update travel processes and policies; oversee compliance reporting.
Manage corporate negotiated and preferred supplier programs.
Onboard new traveling employees on travel procedures.
Provide Finance and Executive teams with regular communication, reports, and recommendations.
Serve as a resource for travelers, researching and resolving issues promptly.
Monitor vendor performance and report on travel spend, trends, and savings opportunities.
Utilize AI-powered tools or platforms to optimize travel planning, vendor selection, and expense management.
Essentials For Life In Paradise
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a corporate travel coordinator, travel specialist, or similar administrative/travel role.
Strong knowledge of domestic and international booking systems.
Experience negotiating vendor contracts.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Able to work in office Monday through Friday.
Proficiency in travel booking platforms (e.g., Concur, Sabre, Amadeus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with accuracy.
Familiarity with AI-powered travel booking and expense management tools to optimize itineraries, identify cost savings, and improve policy compliance.
Rate Range: $85,000 to $105,900 per year
