Job Title: Transportation Engineer Design and manage large-scale roadway projects. Review and approve designs for regulatory compliance. Coordinate technical content and ensure quality delivery. Essential Skills

Professional engineer license. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. 5-7 years of related experience with Illinois DOT projects. Experience in OpenRoads Designer (ORD). Proficient in Civil 3D, Highway, Transportation, Traffic, and Drainage design. Expert knowledge of IDOT Design Manuals, Standards, Specifications, and Guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Successful multidisciplinary team/task management or design lead experience. Proficient in 3D and 4D Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software. Strong understanding of engineering design principles. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Excellent technical writing with the ability to develop work plans and document technical discussions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations. Familiar with industry design standards such as the person and NACTO. Work Environment: This role is based in the Chicago office located on South Wacker, with a team of about 25 individuals in the transportation department. The position involves working with 36 project teams on a wide variety of major infrastructure projects, with a focus on phase 2 design. The work schedule is hybrid, requiring office presence 3 days a week. Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, Illinois. Pay And Benefits: The pay range for this position is $94,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr. Internal benefits include above-average health benefits, company share, and long-term path for ownership.
