Join us in building the future of finance. Our mission is to democratize finance for all. Our Privacy Engineering team is looking for a Privacy Compliance Lead to join our growing Privacy team. As part of the team, you’ll help shape the privacy compliance and program strategy while coordinating across multiple functions within the company.
This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. What You’ll Do
Create and maintain processes, workflows, and content for Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs)
Develop and maintain artifacts to demonstrate compliance with GDPR and other global privacy regulations
Maintain privacy policy management by tracking proposed policies and driving completion of related initiatives
Translate legal and regulatory requirements into internal policies, workflows, and training across product, engineering, marketing, and customer operations
Support the development of a scalable privacy compliance program aligned with international expansion efforts
Embed with engineering and product teams during development to ensure our data collection and usage practices are transparent, protect user privacy, and mitigate risk
Lead DPIAs & TIAs: Own and refine processes for conducting DPIAs, TIAs, LIA/PIAs, and related assessments. Ensure appropriate documentation, risk mitigation, and escalation paths are in place.
Collaborate with procurement, security, and legal teams to evaluate third-party vendors, negotiate Data Protection Addenda (DPAs), and ensure processor compliance
Support regulatory or internal audits, inquiries, and investigations, including preparation of documentation and development of internal remediation plans
Define and track privacy key performance indicators (KPIs), risk metrics, and program maturity for reporting to leadership and the board
Support privacy-related projects by managing communication, coordination, planning, and execution of strategic objectives
What You Bring
5 years of relevant privacy experience, preferably at a technology or fintech company
Strong working knowledge of CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and other major data protection regulations
Excellent organizational, time management, and verbal/written communication skills
Proven project management capabilities with a track record of driving initiatives to completion
Experience working in fast-paced, highly regulated industries such as consumer tech or financial services
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cross-functional projects
CIPP/US or similar privacy certification preferred
