This role is required to be on-site. This role will be posted from September 19 through October 31, 2025.

What you will do

Lead a team of AI software engineers focused on building scalable, production-grade AI and Agentic AI solutions, including systems using large language models (LLMs), reinforcement learning, and multi-agent frameworks.

Assist in the design and deployment of LLM-based pipelines, autonomous agents, and tools that integrate with APIs, knowledge bases, and cloud environments.

Mentor engineers in best practices related to AI model integration, prompt engineering, software design patterns, and performance optimization.

Partner with product managers, data scientists, MLOps, and platform teams to define project scopes, deliverables, and timelines.

Promote a culture of experimentation, safety, and ethical AI development, including review processes for model outputs and agent actions.

Evaluate and incorporate emerging AI tools, open-source libraries, and research into the engineering workflow.

Ensure the team adheres to best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Track team performance and provide guidance on career development, skill growth, and succession planning.

Own the hiring process for the AI engineering team, including talent acquisition, onboarding, and team structure planning.

What you will bring

10+ years of experience in software or AI engineering, with 2+ years in a technical management or team lead role.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Certifications or experience in AI product development, MLOps, or advanced cloud architecture are an asset.

Experience in AI software engineering, with strong knowledge of LLMs, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative/agentic AI frameworks.

Proficiency in Python, with experience using PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, and agent orchestration tools like LangChain, CrewAI, Auto-GPT, or ReAct.

Hands-on experience integrating AI into cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), APIs, databases, and front-end applications.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead technical teams and ship AI-powered products.

Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional AI teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Understanding of AI safety, fairness, explainability, and alignment principles in real-world applications.

Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), RAG pipelines, and knowledge graph integrations.

Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $177,600 and $304,400, and in Deerfield, IL, is between $169,100 and $289,800. This range is general guidance; actual compensation depends on factors including candidate skill set, experience, training, location, and other business needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ by location.
