Airgas . Location: Phoenix, AZ (Acetylene production & filling; Riverview - Filling industrial). Responsibilities

Directs and controls the manufacture and distribution of packaged and bulk gases in the assigned regional plant locations. Coordinate regional plant safety, maintenance, compliance, staffing, training, associate performance, capital expenditures and operational budgets. Ensure regional plant locations meet Safety, Quality, Service and Cost targets. Manage operations personnel by hiring, training, motivating, planning and directing work; manage performance and resolve associate issues to meet or exceed targets. Create, implement and revise standard operational practices as needed. Ensure adequate cylinder supply to meet customer needs. Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and delays. Assist with development of the capital expenditure budget and coordinate expenditures after approvals. Compile, store and analyze production data to meet customer needs and retain customers. Qualifications

Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines; flexible hours to meet customer needs and management expectations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Pre-employment and random drug testing applies. Conceptual understanding of industrial gas products, production and distribution applications and equipment. Working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices desired. Significant training in Safety and Compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); SAP knowledge desired. Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university; Engineering degree and/or MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in industrial gas/packaged gas industry plant environment, petrochemical, or related industries in operations and/or engineering or related activities. Minimum 5 years in supervisory role; general management and leadership experience in industrial gas business. Benefits
