Global Supply Manager, Castings & Extrusions
Newark, CA Lucid Motors is seeking a Global Supply Manager to oversee a group of suppliers within Castings and Extrusions. The role interfaces with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality and Manufacturing to deliver world class products on time and cost effectively, identify and manage the global supply chain, and support cross-functional teams through development and industrialization phases. You Will
Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify qualified suppliers to meet Lucid’s expectations and timelines Create RFQs, review quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead time and technical considerations Negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs, and Engineering Services (NRE / EDT) Coordinate with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for Prototype Parts and Prototype/Production Tooling Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, ensure part availability for prototypes and start of production, and address delays or problems Maintain supplier relationships and serve as the point of contact for commercial issues, including internal reporting on sourcing status, parts availability and cost status Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or related field required; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Minimum 2 years’ experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering, ideally with casting, extrusion or metal fabrication exposure Understanding of body design and experience sourcing exterior/structural stampings, castings, extrusions, and aluminum sheet Product launch experience preferred Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis; ability to work in teams to resolve problems and drive solutions Analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills; results-driven with the ability to manage complex suppliers and maintain internal and external relationships Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and program management capabilities Proficiency in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) Ability to anticipate and creatively resolve issues Equal Opportunity
