Overview
Sr. Global Supply Manager, Body in White Stampings — Southfield, MI Lucid Motors seeks a Sr. Global Supply Manager supporting stamping components. The Global Supply Manager manages all company business with a group of suppliers and serves as the key internal interface with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality and Manufacturing to deliver world class products on time and cost effectively. This role identifies, develops, and manages the global supply chain, helps establish global supply chain strategy, supports cross-functional teams during development and industrialization, and drives sound business decisions throughout the product life cycle. You Will
Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential qualified suppliers to meet Lucid’s expectations and timeline Create RFQs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers and develop sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead time and technical considerations Negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services (NRE / EDT) Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for Prototype Parts and Prototype/Production Tooling Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production and develop solutions to delays or problems Maintain supplier relationships and act as the point of contact for commercial issues, including internal reporting on sourcing status, parts availability and cost status Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or related field required; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 5 years' experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering related to stamping and metals preferred Understanding of body design and sourcing experience in exterior and structural stampings, castings, extrusions, and aluminum sheet Product launch experience preferred Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis; ability to work in a team to resolve problems and drive solutions Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; results-oriented with strategy and hands-on execution Creative, calculated risk taker with ability to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and program management skills Proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively We are an equal opportunity employer.
