Overview
Senior Project Manager - Control Room Design (MCE) role at Diversified. The Senior Project Manager is the single point of responsibility and accountability for assigned projects, from the Project Turnover Meeting to a successful closeout, customer survey, and hand-off to the Service Department. Expectations are that projects are professionally installed, on time, and under budget, resulting in long-term service maintenance relationships. The role requires coordinating all resources for each project, including both personnel and materials, to enable satisfactory completion. What You’ll Do
Single point-of-contact for each of his/her projects. Provide daily project status updates to the project folder on the company server. Provide weekly customer project updates. Mobilize the necessary resources to meet each job’s requirements. Oversee Diversified’s performance in delivering contracted work. Develop and maintain relationships with client representatives, contractor representatives, Diversified managers, engineers, and installers. Maintain ongoing, fully-documented communications between owners, contractor reps, consultants, other trades, Diversified installation teams and management. Anticipate barriers to project success and develop structures or methods to resolve unforeseen problems. Manage the financial performance of each project from a labor perspective. Coordinate project documentation and conduct system training. Ensure timely, successful conclusion of all projects. Provide instant notifications of potentially critical situations to management. Participate in testing and QA processes to ensure the system meets client needs and corporate standards. Oversee security, transportation, and delivery of all equipment and hardware with client signature. Generate hardware requisition/returns documentation as needed. Provide accurate information to management regarding installer performance. Review timesheets for assigned team members. Enforce approved installation methods and techniques. Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, standards, and conventions. Ensure builds align with installation drawings and deliver redlines to the Design Engineer for as-builts. Arrange travel for Installers as needed from other regions. Maintain proper safety practices for all project participants. Provide detailed direction and supervision of Installers for assigned projects. Handle other duties relative to the job as assigned by management. Deliver the highest level of customer service for each project and obtain a customer satisfaction survey after project closure. Manage sub-contract work according to company policy. Coordinate IT/Network coordination for deployment of new systems and upgrades. Travel Requirements
An MCE PM is required to visit assigned job sites regularly to build client relationships and drive projects to successful completion. Travel typically ranges from 30% to 50% of time, depending on project location. Most Control Room Projects are within the continental US; some international travel is possible. Education & Certifications
2-4 year technical degree plus 4-7 years of project-related experience (preferred) InfoComm Essentials of AV & CTS (CTS-I preferred) CAPM/PMP Certification desired Required Skills/Qualifications
10 years of experience in the audio-visual industry 1+ year of Control Room Project Experience Control Room manufacturer experience with Barco, Haivision, ViVuWall, Christie Experience In Use Of Specific Equipment, Tools, Work Aids
Experience with hand tools common to AV and electronic trades (soldering tools/techniques, construction equipment, Unistrut, etc.) Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project Experience loading control system and DSP software is a plus Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license Insurability Pass background and drug screens Personal Traits
