We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Maintenance Director
to lead our Maintenance and Housekeeping teams at our licensed RCFE community located in the beautiful city of Visalia. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our, families, and staff.
As
Maintenance Director , you’ll oversee all aspects of facility upkeep, regulatory compliance, vendor relations, safety programming, and team management—all with the goal of creating a beautiful and well-functioning community for our seniors to call home.
Responsibilities
Oversee preventative maintenance for all systems: HVAC, fire safety, lighting, elevators, plumbing, landscaping, kitchen/laundry equipment, and vehicles.
Lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry teams; hire, train, and evaluate staff.
Ensure timely completion of work orders and general repair needs.
Administer contracts with vendors and manage the Engineering Department budget.
Direct the Community Safety Program including emergency preparedness and compliance with Cal/OSHA.
Maintain compliance with all state and local RCFE and building maintenance regulations.
Monitor cleanliness and safety in all common areas; conduct regular inspections.
Support executive leadership and contribute as part of the Management Team.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience
in facility maintenance required; experience in a
senior living or healthcare
setting.
Prior
leadership or management experience
strongly.
Solid skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Word and Excel .
Strong
communication and customer service
abilities.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Knowledge of state licensure requirements for RCFEs and applicable safety codes.
Must meet all health, background, and TB screening requirements.
Current
CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications .
Valid
California driver’s license
with clean driving record.
Ability to lift, move, and perform physical tasks as needed (with or without accommodation).
