Senior Quality Manager – Aerospace on-site leader for Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. responsible for the Global Quality Function to support the Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing Businesses, including the Aerofit site in Fullerton, CA. Lead and be responsible for the Site Quality Function and interface with Global Quality improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business and Site Partners to support and evolve Site Deliverables and Business and Quality Initiatives, including representation and Customer interface. Focus on delivering exceptional quality while achieving performance improvements across critical KPIs, including measurement and tracking of KPIs. Support the Site Quality Managers with Quality Audits, Quality Holds, Rework Plans and Corrective Actions to establish strong quality process control and prevent process escapes. Leverage Quality Assurance procedures and Control Plans (IQC, IPQC and FQA; control of non-conforming materials) and support formal Safety, Risk Assessment or Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions processes. Drive evidence-based quality systems that lead to preventative controls for robust process results. Utilize kaizen-style blitz for process improvement and risk mitigation activity. Implement and maintain QMS certifications (ISO, AS9100, AS13100, AS9145, FAA, EASA, NADCAP, etc.) ensuring alignment to customer and standard agency requirements. Lead and drive quality planning and execution across product and program lifecycle, including problem-solving methods, continuous improvement, supplier quality standards, and training and development of the team. Ensure front-end quality plans are developed and incorporated in the contract and SOW, including budget and scope, aligned with product lifecycle development, production, and supply chain, with sustainable compliance. Drive a culture of continuous improvement to reduce costs associated with defects, escapes, rework, and scrap. The Person

Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 5+ years aerospace industry experience and 5+ years people management Experience with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and Quality Experience with quality standards including AS9145, AS9100D, ISO9001:2015 or equivalent Ability to understand and utilize standard quality tools (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, APQP/PPAP, DMAIC, GR&R, CpK, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, problem solving) Experience working with multiple sites Experience with Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement tools Develop and mentor team members and leaders The Details

ITAR note: This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Base pay range in California: $111,100.00 - $150,299.00 per year. Pay may vary based on location, experience, and knowledge. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package.
