Director of Plant Operations
for our psychiatric hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The Director of Plant Operations is a key leadership team member with primary oversight of maintenance and environmental services to ensure a safe, high-quality experience for patients, staff, guests, and visitors. Responsibilities
Hands-on role responsible for basic facility maintenance, including light drywall repair, light plumbing, and electrical work. Plan and organize department resources; manage all aspects of maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Oversee the housekeeping and maintenance departments and staff; direct and perform maintenance, repairs, mechanical systems, fire and life safety, and equipment management for the facility. Prepare various statistical and operating reports for the hospital’s Safety/Risk Committee and the governing board. Lead assigned departmental performance improvement and quality initiatives in line with organizational policies and procedures. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; high school diploma or GED acceptable with relevant experience. Hands-on involvement in maintenance and repairs required; experience in maintenance and repairs specifically. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EOC/LS, preferably in a hospital setting. At least 2 years in a management or leadership role. Knowledge of drywall repairs, light plumbing, and light electrical work. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to interpret and read blueprints, typically through high school education or additional technical training. Construction experience is a plus. Benefits
