The Plunge House . We’re hiring a

VP of Franchise Development

to lead our franchise development division from our Charlotte, NC headquarters.

This is

not a remote position , and it’s not a typical franchise sales role. It’s a rare blend of high-impact sales, innovative marketing, and full-scale departmental ownership. You’ll be building and running the system—from top-of-funnel campaigns to franchise signings and beyond.

We want a

creative, high-urgency, entrepreneurial operator —someone who thinks differently, sells with conviction, and builds with ownership.

What You’ll Be Accountable For Top-of-Funnel Demand Creation

Build and execute lead-generation strategies: paid ads, webinars, social content, landing pages, podcast collaborations, and referral campaigns

Ensure a monthly flow of

300–400 qualified leads per brand

Own and optimize all

CRM workflows, automations, and pipelines

Develop engaging

email nurture sequences, video messaging, and dynamic drip campaigns

Partner with internal franchisees for

referrals, case studies, and validation touchpoints

Maintain

speed-to-lead urgency , persistent follow-up, and proactive objection handling

Conduct all initial discovery calls, lead virtual and in-person meetings, and present brand and investment opportunity

Lead and execute

monthly Confirmation Days —creating a high-conversion experience from start to finish

Track and report KPIs such as pipeline velocity, CAC, time-to-close, and discovery-to-award rate

Strategic Execution & Departmental Ownership

Build and run the entire franchise development department

Manage and report on

departmental P&L and budgets

Create, document, and evolve the

franchise sales playbook, SOPs, and weekly dashboards

Work directly with legal on

FDD development, updates, and franchise agreement execution

Serve as the point person for all

franchise development events, broker conferences, and Confirmation Days , coordinating all logistics through executive assistants

Lead cross-departmental collaboration with

marketing, operations, and executive leadership

to align brand voice, territory development, and business objectives

Ensure all franchise sales materials are

brand-aligned, updated, and compliant

Franchisee Relationship Building

Build and nurture relationships with current franchise partners to support referrals and strengthen brand validation

Ensure prospective candidates have access to compelling validation opportunities

Use franchisee testimonials and success stories in growth campaigns

Maintain franchisee sentiment awareness to support both growth and reputation

Team Development & Scalability

Operate solo initially with full ownership of execution

As the pipeline grows,

hire, train, and manage

additional team members in franchise development

Define clear KPIs, expectations, and team structures for future scale

Act as the cultural and performance standard-bearer for the department

What Success Looks Like (Within 90 Days)

Each brand has

30+ active franchise candidates

in the pipeline

10+ highly qualified candidates

attending Confirmation Day each month

10–12 units awarded monthly

across both brands

Lead flow of

300–400 qualified leads per month

per brand

CRM, nurture campaigns, SOPs, and candidate touchpoints fully documented and live

First wave of brokers and key partners activated and productive

Budget, forecasts, and KPIs reported weekly to the Executive Team

Confirmation Days and events executed with precision

Department foundation built to support scalable growth

The Ideal Candidate

Based in or willing to relocate to

Charlotte, NC

Deep background in

sales and marketing , preferably with campaign ownership experience

Exceptionally strong

copywriting, communication, and consultative sales skills

Track record of operating at a high level in growth-oriented environments

Highly

detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven

Experience working with or for a

franchisor, high-growth brand, or founder-led company

is a plus

Bonus: Former VP of Marketing, COO, or Director of Ops ready to shift into a growth-focused role

Franchise experience is preferred but not required— ownership mentality and hustle are non-negotiable

Capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution
