Overview AKKO is seeking a Director of Device Logistics to own and optimize the critical flow of devices across our repair, retail and 3PL partner ecosystems. The role will drive improvements in device logistics strategy to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and support the long-term success of our growing network. This position reports to the VP of Customer Success and collaborates with Claims, Repair, and Operations teams to improve net operating capital by negotiating better net terms for repair shop accounts payable and by enhancing claims efficiency across the network.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Own and evolve our device logistics strategy to support our network of partners and drive business performance.
Analyze and improve claims processes to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely repair, replacement, and fulfillment workflows.
Build out repeatable, scalable operational processes, including SOPs for device procurement, return logistics, warranty claims, and more.
Serve as a key point of contact for repair vendors and logistics partners, deepening relationships and unlocking long-term value.
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Customer Success, Sales, Operations, and Finance to align priorities, risks, and accelerate execution.
Monitor vendor performance, logistics SLAs, and key metrics to inform process improvements and partner evaluations.
Negotiate favorable net payment terms and pricing with repair vendors and distributors to improve cash flow and working capital efficiency.
Help shape the roadmap for logistics tooling, workflow automation, and internal tracking systems in collaboration with Product & Ops.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in device logistics, reverse logistics, or operations, ideally in the wireless, repair, or consumer electronics space.
Strong network and industry relationships across the repair, wholesale, 3PL and broader device logistics landscape.
Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations and AP term improvements.
Highly organized and operationally strong, able to track field data and communicate learnings across internal teams with experience building and scaling processes from the ground up.
Team-oriented, fast, self-directed learner who thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment and adapts quickly.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to balance instincts with structured analysis to inform decision-making.
The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $125,000 with performance-based incentives including bonuses and/or commission. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
