Job Description

Gilead ’s global Privacy and Data Ethics team (“PDE team”) is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to lead our Privacy Operations function, driving innovation and operational excellence across our global privacy program. This role will be responsible for overseeing the enhancement of Gilead’s privacy operations and includes, but is not limited to: Operationalizing and maintaining privacy compliance frameworks aligned with global regulations. Owning and administering privacy management platforms and associated processes (e.g., OneTrust, BigID, ServiceNow, GRC tools). Developing dashboards, metrics, and reports to track compliance activity and program health. Partnering with IT and Security to integrate privacy controls and requirements into enterprise systems and vendor processes. Coordinating intake and tracking of privacy requests, risk assessments, and operational tasks. Supporting DSAR and ROPA processes by ensuring workflows, templates, and tracking mechanisms are up to date. Managing process documentation, SOPs, and playbooks for PDE team operations. Supporting maintenance of privacy policies, notices, and training content in systems of record. Supporting the rollout of scalable training, awareness, and guidance materials across global teams to foster a culture of data protection. Ensuring consistent execution of PDE processes across regions and business functions. Desired Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in privacy operations, compliance operations, or GRC functions, including program or systems ownership or 6 years relevant experience with a master's degree. Understanding of global privacy regulations. Proficiency with privacy management platforms (OneTrust, BigID, TrustArc, ServiceNow, or equivalent). Demonstrated ability to translate manual processes into streamlined, tech-enabled workflows. Proven strong project management and process design skills. Certifications such as CIPM, CIPT, CIPP, or CISSP desirable. Comfortable working with IT, Security, and business teams to operationalize requirements. Skilled at producing clear, actionable dashboards and reports for leadership. Strong interpersonal skills, with experience working in a global, matrixed environment. Self-starter, detail-oriented, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities. Bias for action in solving privacy challenges through innovative technology solutions. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Brings a positive, collaborative spirit to teamwork. People Leader Accountabilities:
