Role: Material Handling Technician Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256 Schedule: 3rd Shift: 9:15 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday to Sunday. No regular shifts on Friday night or Saturday night. Pay rate: $25.98/hr on W2

Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of one (1) year of work experience.

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Material Handling Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing materials, with a focus on diagnostic reagents used in the prevention and management of diseases.

This position involves a mix of routine and non-routine tasks, requiring the application of specific training and skills to operate specialized equipment and systems. The work environment often includes refrigerated and frozen areas. The technician will work mostly independently, referring the most complex issues to higher levels, while maintaining and continuously improving quality systems.

Key Responsibilities Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or voice-picking systems. Pack and prepare orders, ensuring correct products, lot numbers, shipping temperatures (ambient, refrigerated, frozen), addresses, and shipping methods. Perform picking and packing duties in various temperature-controlled environments, including refrigerated and frozen areas. Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory.

Warehouse Operations: Move material within the warehouse, distribution, and production facilities. Operate material handling equipment as needed, which may include forklifts and man-up order pickers. Maintain inventory of products and raw materials with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. Proficiency in English sufficient to maintain, ensure, and promote safety requirements and procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures. Requires specific training and certification (which may be provided).

Preferred Qualifications Prior experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, man-up order picker). Basic computer skills, including competency with standard software (Microsoft Word and Excel). Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to communicate well and work effectively in a team environment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail. Ability to perform basic math calculations.
