Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Position:
Paralegal / Senior Paralegal (4) Opportunities with AmLaw200 firms Salary:
$80,000 - $130,000 with OT and Bonus Location:
DC (HYBRID) Practice Areas: Bankruptcy Corporate Litigation Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Case & Matter Management
Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic. Manage case calendars, deadlines, and docketing. Coordinate filings and ensure compliance with court rules and firm policies. Prepare closing binders, deal books, or litigation notebooks.
Legal Research & Writing
Conduct factual and legal research using databases (Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg). Draft summaries of cases, statutes, or regulations. Prepare initial drafts of pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence. Assist in preparing case chronologies and issue outlines.
Document Management
Organize, review, and index large volumes of documents in discovery or due diligence. Manage e-discovery platforms and coordinate with vendors. Cite-check and proofread briefs, contracts, and memoranda. Prepare exhibits for depositions, hearings, or trials.
Client & Attorney Support
Act as liaison between attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties. Support client meetings and conference calls (prepare agendas, notes, follow-ups). Assist in preparing engagement letters and billing records. Track and enter billable hours in accordance with firm policy. Draft and review corporate formation documents, board consents, resolutions. Manage due diligence checklists and data rooms. Prepare signature pages, coordinate closings, and file with regulators (SEC, state agencies). Review and summarize contracts, leases, and loan agreements.
Litigation Support
Draft and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents. Organize deposition transcripts and exhibits. Coordinate witness prep, trial logistics, and trial binders. File documents electronically with state/federal courts (CM/ECF, NYSCEF, etc.).
