Overview
Surveillance Case Manager - Private Investigator. This full-time, remote position reports to the Vice President of Operations and focuses on delivering high-quality investigative products to clients. Responsibilities
Supervise and direct investigative field staff and direct reports to maintain a motivated, quality-focused team capable of completing investigations of insurance claims across coverages including workers' compensation, general liability, property and casualty, disability, life, and health care. Maintain a productive business unit by training, managing performance, monitoring workloads, and assigning resources. Prepare and communicate performance evaluations and development plans; maintain personnel file documentation. Model and support the company culture and balance employee and organizational needs. Conduct quality control reviews of investigative work, ensure client handling instructions are followed, and meet case objectives and due dates. Manage assigned cases to closing with accurate, organized case files. Communicate effectively with field staff and clients about case progress; provide recommendations for further initiatives. Maintain relationships with coworkers and management and keep leadership informed about territory activity and issues. Ensure confidentiality of all information obtained through investigative activities. Perform other assignments and projects as dictated by business needs or management direction. Required Skills And Abilities
Thorough knowledge of investigative techniques for directing and managing advanced investigations, surveillance, written statements, background investigations, activity checks, and locates. Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities with experience managing and scheduling work and utilizing resources. Ability to creatively solve problems and identify opportunities; capable of giving and receiving feedback constructively. Proven track record of building and managing teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software; familiarity with investigative technologies including video. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field preferred but not required. Minimum of two years of experience managing surveillance investigations (seven years as an investigator may substitute for experience). At least three years of supervisory experience is highly preferred. Private investigator's license or eligibility for licensing in appropriate state(s). Ability to travel periodically as needed. Physical Demands and Work Environment
Typically in an office setting. Requires sitting and computer work for long periods. Regular communication with supervisors, clients, and staff via phone, video, and email. May require travel by car or airplane as needed. Salary: $60,000 - $62,000 per year
