Executive Recruiter with Adams & Martin Group Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join a highly regarded law firm in the Minneapolis area.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of experienced attorneys practicing in trusts and estates, elder law, tax, trust administration, and probate. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive strong mentorship, and grow a successful Trusts & Estates practice of your own.

This role involves a mix of trust administration, probate, and estate planning. You’ll advise trustees and personal representatives through the administration process, including document review, drafting, court filings, inventory preparation, asset valuation, and beneficiary notices. On the estate planning side, you’ll work with clients—often in collaboration with their financial advisors and CPAs—to develop tailored plans, draft wills, trusts, and disability documents, and identify unique issues such as long-term care or special needs planning. Strong attention to detail, client communication skills, and a practical approach to guiding families through sensitive matters are essential.

Responsibilities (summary)

Assist with trust administration, probate, and estate planning matters.

Draft documents, review court filings, prepare inventories, and handle beneficiary notices.

Collaborate with clients and professionals (financial advisors, CPAs) to develop tailored plans.

Identify and address issues such as long-term care or special needs planning.

Maintain strong attention to detail and effective client communication.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school

1-5 years of experience in trusts & estates, probate, or estate planning

Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills

Strong client-facing presence and ability to handle sensitive family matters

Licensed and in good standing with the Minnesota Bar
