Senior HR Business Partner – Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Real Estate and Tax, Pensions & Employment

Clifford Chance US LLP is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to provide strategic HR support to the Litigation and Dispute Resolution (L&DR), Real Estate, and Tax, Pension & Employment (TPE) practice areas. This role combines operational and strategic responsibilities with exceptional HR client service to the designated practice areas. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven Senior HRBP experience, working with senior stakeholders to align people strategies with business objectives. Reporting into the Head of HR – L&DR and the Regional HR Director - Americas, this role sits at the heart of our Americas strategy, supporting Partners and attorneys in a high-growth region. Responsibilities

People and Talent Strategy: partner with key stakeholders to embed the firm's people priorities, shape the regional talent agenda (e.g., succession planning), collaborate with Head of HR – L&DR and Regional HR Director – Americas and other stakeholders on key talent processes (e.g., compensation). Employee relations: provide guidance to partners and attorneys on ER matters; address employee concerns and resolve conflicts; support attorneys returning from parental leave; collaborate with General Counsel on risk mitigation and compliance. Exit management: conduct exit interviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Talent management: support attorney performance processes, lead talent reviews, collaborate with Talent team on pipeline, workforce planning, and skill-gap analyses; align training. Talent acquisition: collaborate with Talent Acquisition to meet hiring needs, coach during onboarding, and engage with stakeholders on role definitions and utilization goals; ensure 100-day onboarding checks. Wellbeing and People Experience: contribute to wellbeing objectives and action plans; engage in employee listening and address wellbeing themes. Financial management, risk, data and analytics: support headcount forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of employee listening data. Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience in a Senior HR Business Partner role, ideally within a law firm or professional services. Experience in a complex, fast-paced, matrixed/global environment is desirable. Proven ability to partner with and influence management, collaborate with stakeholders to achieve results. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, handle confidential information with discretion; strong strategic thinking and problem solving with commercial awareness. Strong communication skills, proactive approach, and solid organizational capabilities. Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; SHRM/HRCI certification strongly preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS; ability to learn new technology quickly. Willingness to work outside core hours as needed and compliance with the Firm's Agile Working Policy (office at least three days per calendar week with remote flexibility). Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Salary and benefits

Salary range: $236k - $268k. Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Equal opportunities
