A leading intellectual property law firm is seeking a
full-time, USPTO-registered Patent Agent
to focus on preparing and prosecuting software-related patent applications for clients ranging from innovative start-ups to large global enterprises. Patent Agent – Software & Electronics Responsibilities
Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications in the software and electronics space. Collaborate with inventors, in-house counsel, and firm attorneys to develop strategic claim approaches. Provide insights on portfolio development and conduct client counseling on patent matters. Manage deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in written work. Qualifications
USPTO Registration Number required. Degree in
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics , or related technical discipline. Preferred background or patent prosecution experience in technologies such as: Cloud computing Security and encryption Artificial intelligence (AI) Bioinformatics Mobile applications Databases and networking Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
