Position Summary The Corporate Development Specialist plays a key role in advancing Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties’ mission by cultivating, retaining, and growing corporate partnerships. This position develops strategic relationships that drive campaign sponsorships and engagement in the Community Contribution Tax Credit Program (CCTCP)—a crucial funding source that helps Habitat construct more affordable homes for local families. Reporting to the Director of Donor Development, the Corporate Development Specialist manages a portfolio of corporate partners using Habitat’s Moves Management framework to ensure thoughtful progression from identification through stewardship. This role collaborates across departments to deliver meaningful engagement opportunities that strengthen corporate investment in Habitat’s mission and fundraising goals. Primary Responsibilities Build and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships with businesses and organizations through sponsorships, campaigns, and CCTCP. Identify and qualify new corporate prospects who have the capacity, inclination, and connection to Habitat’s mission. Manage an assigned portfolio of corporate donors using the Moves Management process to guide cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Develop personalized stewardship plans, provide impact reporting, and ensure timely donor recognition to strengthen long-term relationships and increase annual support. Lead implementation of the Community Contribution Tax Credit Program (CCTCP), ensuring timely submissions, accurate reporting, and effective communication with partners. In partnership with the Resource & Development team, support the execution of key campaigns such as Women Build, Veterans Build, and other corporate engagement initiatives. Collaborate with communications and community engagement teams to align corporate engagement opportunities with organizational needs and donor recognition activities. Participate in corporate events, dedications, and volunteer build days to engage donors, promote Habitat’s mission, and increase visibility. Maintain accurate, timely records of donor communications and commitments within the CRM system. Other duties as assigned. Competencies Results-driven and strategic in relationship management and fundraising Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders Creative and resourceful in developing partnership proposals and recognition opportunities Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Professional, poised, and mission-oriented in all interactions Positive, collaborative team player who demonstrates integrity and commitment to Habitat’s values: Integrity, Teamwork, and Mission Focus Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and donor engagements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate relations, business development, or nonprofit fundraising with proven success managing partnerships and achieving revenue goals Experience with corporate sponsorships or grant programs preferred Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems (e.g., DonorPerfect, Salesforce) is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Understanding and appreciation of the mission of Habitat for Humanity Valid Florida driver’s license Acceptable background check Physical Requirements Necessary To Perform This Job Regularly spend hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Occasionally spend hours standing. Regularly speaks clearly so listeners can understand. Frequently bend to file and maintain files. Occasionally lift 5-20 pounds. Work Environment And Conditions Ability to work both in the office and at various worksites; ability to work outside of normal working hours, including events, or weekends during peak season, with advance notice. Generally quiet office environment.
