Overview
The Principal HR Consultant (PHRC) is responsible for serving as a strategic consultant/subject matter expert to Area CHROs and Caregiver Relations Consultants who face complex employee relations matters where expert knowledge and assistance is needed. They identify and assess situations for compliance and policy concerns and make recommendations for resolution. The SHRC supports Labor and Employment Counsel in the investigation of legal matters, promotes consistent and best practice approaches to positive employee and labor relations, adherence to HR policies, regulatory and policy compliance, investigations, review and oversight on Reductions in Force and project work. Additional accountability includes oversight of Caregiver Relations work product, mentorship of Caregiver Relations consultants, employee relations research, performance management consultations, identifying trends and patterns requiring intervention, labor relations research, dispute resolution alternatives, policy development, record keeping, and data integrity. Provides SME expertise and competency-based systems to support process and protocol in adherence to regulatory requirements including Federal and State employment, OSHA and other healthcare-related agency requirements. Maintains HR metrics and dashboards and reports findings to other HR professionals so actions can be aligned with insights. Required Qualifications 8 years experience in general human resources, or equivalent work experience, at exempt level, in multi-state/location, service line of business. 8 years demonstrated experience in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, ADAAA, and leaves of absence. Demonstrates advanced experience in one of the following specialty areas: labor relations, ADAAA, Leaves of Absence, or mediation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. HR Certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP or PHR, SHRM-CP) upon hire. 5 years Project Management experience. 5 years experience in Drug Free Workplace, Compliance, Performance Management, ADA/LOA. 5 years Supervision of Human Resources staff or equivalent.
