Principal Business Systems Analyst

The Principal Business Systems Analyst - Salesforce coordinates with vendors, partners, architects, project management and Providence leadership to facilitate cross-departmental requirement gathering and to consult on complex system implementations, integrations and upgrades supporting initiatives across Providence Health Plan.
Salesforce expertise is central to this role, including guiding teams through Salesforce-specific implementations, integrations, and optimizations. The Principal Business Systems Analyst stays current with Salesforce platform capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
Utilizing SMART criteria, this role mentors other caregivers in analyzing processes, documenting deltas, validating against goals and roadmaps, providing project management services, troubleshooting complex reports/extracts, and guiding the creation of user stories in Azure DevOps. It also involves collecting feedback, adjusting timelines, and establishing best practices for process workflows, mapping documents, batch job documentation, change requests, SQL queries, use cases, mockups, acceptance criteria and SharePoint pages.
The role collaborates with Quality Assurance Engineers on test plans, test scripts, test data, communication plans, bugs, and report outs. It is part of an agile team, organizing and mentoring IS teams around standards to ensure sprint commitments are met, while advocating for improvements in velocity and quality each sprint. On-call and after-hours support may be required. All IS caregivers should understand Providence Health Plan goals, strategies, and roadmap.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with vendors, partners, architects, project management and Providence leadership to facilitate cross-departmental requirement gathering and consulting on complex system implementations, integrations and upgrades.
Guide Salesforce-specific implementations, integrations, and optimizations; stay current with Salesforce capabilities and apply them to business needs.
Mentor teams in analyzing current and proposed processes, documenting deltas, validating against goals/roadmaps, and forming well-structured user stories in Azure DevOps.
Provide project management services, troubleshoot reports/extracts, and drive best practices for process workflows, mapping documents, batch job documentation, change requests, SQL queries, use cases, mockups, acceptance criteria and SharePoint pages.
Collaborate with QA Engineers to create test plans, test scripts, test data, communication plans, and manage bugs and report outs.
Participate in agile ceremonies and lead IS teams to improve velocity and quality each sprint.
Occasionally perform on-call and after-hours support; align with department goals and roadmap.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree – OR – a combination of equivalent education and work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of experience working as a business analyst with Salesforce
Facets experience
Microsoft SQL Server experience
Upon Hire: IIBA certification
Demonstrated experience taking leadership addressing system-related issues
Demonstrated experience using LEAN techniques in analyzing requirements for potential automation
