Plant Controller Location:
Rincon, GA Responsibilities
Manage all accounting operations at the Rincon plant, including job costing, inventory, general ledger, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Maintain proper internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations (GAAP, IFRS). Lead plant-level budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with operations and department leaders. Analyze financial results, provide variance analyses, and recommend corrective actions or improvements. Prepare and present detailed financial reports to plant and regional management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities. Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies; drive profitability and cost-control initiatives with plant leadership. Ensure plant compliance with applicable local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations; support external audits and regulatory reviews as needed. Mentor and supervise a team of plant-level accounting and finance professionals; promote a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the finance team. Collaborate with operations to align financial strategies with business objectives and provide financial insights for investments and projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). CPA or CMA certification highly desirable. 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of financial principles and regulations (GAAP, IFRS); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence plant and corporate leadership. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with attention to detail and operational alignment. Preferred Skills
Familiarity with plant-level financial operations in a multi-national manufacturing company. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
