This role supports NAVWAR’s Business Financial Management (BFM) initiatives on the NAVWAR Headquarters (HQ), Direct Reporting Program Manager (DRPM), and NAVWAR Program Executive Office programs and projects. The BFM Team promotes common business/financial tools and best practices across NAVWAR, managing Programming, Planning, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes and providing corporate financial analysis and information to depict financial health and performance. The team also performs acquisition support and coordinates planning data and spend plans across NAVWAR HQ and related organizations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business Financial Managers (BFMs), Principal Assistant Program Managers (PAPMs), Assistant Program Managers (APMs), and APM-Is to manage resources and data to execute and track funding. Support financial and planning documentation across NAVWAR program portfolios. Provide inputs to DoD acquisition data calls and related documentation. Develop financial management strategies and actionable plans to secure and manage funding for program goals. Enter, extract, and manipulate financial data from government-approved systems (e.g., Navy ERP) and other Navy financial databases. Perform financial data entry and maintenance to ensure accurate obligation, execution, and reconciliation of funds. Track budgets, costs, variances, and funding status across multiple funding types. Prepare and analyze monthly execution performance reports; respond to ad hoc reporting requests and variance analyses. Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and cost-benefit analyses to assess program tradeoffs and explore alternative funding approaches. Prepare and review budget estimates, funding documentation, and financial reports for accuracy and alignment with procedures and regulations. Research past and current budgets and analyze economic and programmatic developments to inform planning and recommendations. Develop and present executive-level financial summaries and data visualizations using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), Access, and PowerPoint. Coordinate financial activities across internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely funding actions. Interpret and apply financial management principles, DoD regulations, and NAVWAR guidance. Propose courses of action (COAs) and provide strategic recommendations to address financial challenges for decision-making. Bid and proposal support if requested. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

An active secret clearance is required. Seven (7) years of experience providing financial management and acquisition support to a NAVWAR program office. Basic computer literacy and data entry skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship (now or in the future). Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (desired). Master’s degree from an accredited university (desired). Ten (10) years of experience in NAVWAR financial management and acquisition support (desired). Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification (desired). Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position part of the time; may alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. Compensation and Benefits

The expected base pay range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 per year. This role participates in the corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs and may be eligible for performance bonuses and other rewards and benefits.
