OPmobility MISSION Design, install, program, debug, and troubleshoot automated equipment that may include: programmable logic controllers, robotics, vision systems, HMI software and hardware, as well as other pneumatic and electrical instruments. This position will also be involved in the development, commissioning, and training of the finishing and assembly equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES Ensure all automated systems are current Implement automated systems into plant Assist maintenance personnel in complex troubleshooting Set up and facilitate automation training for all associates In charge of the Process control Instrumentation systems, Continuous Conveyor Systems, VFDs and other similar systems. Responsible for being the primary contact for error proofing, poke yoke, etc. Provide support to other departments as needed Other duties as assigned Able to use PFMEA tool to assess and mitigate potential failures in manufacturing processes RESPONSIBILITY 2 Support special projects such as new machine launches and continuous improvement Work actively in continuous improvement and corrective action activities of the lean culture consistent with the POMS philosophy RESPONSIBILITY 3 Perform risk analysis before LOTO and work performed inside machines Train and coach other technicians on LOTO and safe work practices Responsible to advise when standard work instructions are not covering a necessary specific activity Responsible to check the correct application of LOTO, in line with procedures Seek guidance from the LOTO steering Committee for any concerns regarding LOTO. RESPONSIBILITY 4 Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing Must be able to lift up to 33lbs on a regular basis Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times Ready to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with tight time constraints. Travel may be required. RESPONSIBILITY 5 Provides support, training and coaches end users/operators during their shifts when needed Helps to unblock situation and applies contingency plan in case of PES issue Is in charge of the escalation process for software and hardware support Reports to the local PES Coordinator Forwards the blocking points and the enhancements requests Takes part in the Key Users’ “functional network” Opens support tickets and follows them till the complete resolution Receives support from central teams as need be, reports incident resolution to Local PES Coordinator PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent combination of education and experience 3 years manufacturing experience, plastics or automotive preferred JOB TECHNICAL SKILLS Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data Has a technical knowledge on : electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics, with the ability to recognize and manage hazardous energy sources machine by machine Experienced on BMM, Finishing Centers, and Utilities Full understanding of the LOTO: concepts, application, method, devices and the instructions used to lockout/tagout machinery Understand the choice of appropriate level of LOTO (when we have to apply complete LOTO, or partial LOTO or “door locked” only) JOB SOFT SKILLS Verbal and Written Communication Teamwork Problem Solving Critical Thinking Adaptability Time Management
