Overview

Our client, a leading middle market credit platform with over $10 billion of assets under management, is seeking an exceptional Controller to join its Finance Team. Since its inception, the firm has provided investors with access to middle market credit by offering borrowers a comprehensive range of creative and flexible financing solutions. The platform primarily invests in the core middle market – companies with $10 million to $50 million in EBITDA – where credit opportunities typically offer higher yields, lower leverage, and stronger lender protections compared to upper middle market and broadly syndicated loans. The firm pursues two primary investment strategies across public and private fund structures. The Senior Debt strategy is focused on capital preservation and targets directly originated first lien senior secured loans, along with associated equity co-investments. The Opportunistic Credit strategy provides greater flexibility to invest across the capital structure and seeks higher-yielding opportunities, including first lien loans, second lien loans, mezzanine debt, and equity co-investments.
