The HRBP will serve as a strategic partner and have regional responsibility for all HR duties for various Univar's Field Operations (CD&S) functions. This role will be responsible for the delivery and execution of HR strategies and initiatives offered by the HR Leadership Team, Centers of Expertise (COE) and Regional Business Leadership. What You\'ll Do:

Strategic Partnership

- Council people leaders on a broad range of employee-based initiatives and issues. Ability to exercise sound judgment in elevating and recommending actions to HR and business leadership. Strategic Partnership

- Engage in all levels of the workforce (non-exempt to executive leadership) throughout the region as a focal point for HR and influence key decisions to drive optimal outcomes for the organization. Strategic Partnership

- Support and help improve leader performance by identifying challenges, evaluating potential solutions, and implementing selected solutions proactively. Peer Collaboration

- Collaborate with other US HRBP\'s to support and drive the development of HR programs and plans. Change Management

- Act as a change agent working directly with key partners regarding continuous improvement initiatives and organization strategies. Employee Relations

- Directly involved in employee coaching, counseling, and termination discussions as both an employee advocate and a business partner ensuring fairness and consistency. Employee Relations

- Lead and support employee investigations through the organization\'s reporting repository, as assigned. Labor Relations

- Builds and maintains positive labor relations and supports the Labor (COE) with trainings and other activities on a regional level, including investigations, grievances, and contract negotiations (preparation, analysis, including 2nd chair responsibilities). Talent Management

- Actively participates in calibration sessions to ensure local leadership alignment to organizational strategies within the talent management process. Talent Management

- Work with people leaders during goal setting, performance and review processes, and merit and reward processes. Talent Acquisition

- Facilitates and supports talent acquisition activity including the requisition process, recommendations on candidates while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Compensation

- Facilitates and supports local compensation reviews, in conjunction with Compensation (COE) to ensure wage equity and competitive offers and rates. Benefits

- Maintains baseline knowledge of benefit plans and programs to support benefit initiatives, including open enrollment. Organizational Culture

- Participates in programs that support positive employee relations and a culture aligned with Univar\'s values & behaviors. HR Compliance

- Ensures local compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements including NLRA, ADA, FMLA, AA/EEO Compliance, FLSA and local UI processes and procedures. What You\'ll Need:

Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university, college or institute 5 to 7 years of progressive HR related experience, preferably in a large matrix organization 5+ years of progressive HRBP experience 3+ years of labor relations experience Ability to travel domestically, overnight - 25% of the time SHRM - CP (preferred) or HRCI - PHR (preferred) Where You\'ll Work:
