Overview
Location: Aurora, IL and Tampa, FL. This role may also be based out of any MetLife Group Benefits Regional Sales office. This role is hybrid, and expected candidates must come into the office two days a week. Overview: As a new hire in employee benefits services, you will participate in a comprehensive four-month training program that combines classroom instruction with on-the-job experience. Upon successful completion, you will transition into the role of Client Service Consultant (CSC) to provide administrative support and client service to MetLife group insurance customers. The Client Service Consultant (CSC) is responsible for day-to-day administrative service support of multiple Regional Market clients. You will understand client needs and deliver a service experience that makes it easy for customers to do business with MetLife. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team. Success in this role requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal. The CSC is accountable for the day-to-day administration of multiple complex clients and will collaborate with internal MetLife teams in an environment that respects every contribution. Key Responsibilities (How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future)
Respond to client requests and lead projects; provide clients with alternative solutions and identify possible plan design options; act as a liaison between the client and internal MetLife teams. Provide exceptional customer service through ongoing delivery and client satisfaction. Coordinate and facilitate client meetings (in person or via conference call); prepare materials, agendas and presentations; lead client account audits and strategic planning; partner with the financial team in completing client reports. Understand detailed components and provisions in legal agreements between MetLife and the client; assist in facilitating contract execution to ensure compliance. Stay informed about competitors’ products, industry trends, and legal developments impacting the business. Demonstrate firm knowledge of MetLife’s group products, services, and systems; apply analytical skills to the interaction of these products, services and systems. What You Need To Succeed (Required Qualifications)
2+ years of equivalent experience within the insurance space or similar. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work autonomously, handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and stay flexible. General understanding of the U.S. economy and the employee benefits industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Self-motivated to learn more about the business and proactive in personal development. What Can Give You An Edge (Additional Skills)
Experience with products such as Core, Disability, and Voluntary products. Ability to balance client expectations with MetLife capabilities. Project management skills including problem-solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness. Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000.
