Welcome to the Farr Law Firm, a boutique and nationally-known Elder Law and Estate Planning Firm serving clients in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. Our main office is in Fairfax City, Virginia, with a satellite office in Fredericksburg, VA, and meeting locations in Rockville, MD, Annapolis, MD, and Washington, DC. We seek a full-time Estate Planning Attorney/Elder Law Attorney to work primarily in our Fairfax, Virginia office, with a willingness to travel approximately one day per week to our Fredericksburg office and occasionally to our other meeting locations.
Requirements/Qualifications
Virginia Bar Admission required; DC and MD Bar highly desired, or UBE score high enough to waive into DC and Maryland.
Experience is not required but very helpful; compensation will be based on experience, with room for advancement.
New lawyers or experienced practitioners who enjoy daily client interactions and can handle a diverse caseload with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities
Meeting with potential new clients in person and via Zoom
Drafting documents using HotDocs and the firm’s drafting system
Supervising the signing of documents and the funding of trusts
Assisting with Elder Law and Medicaid Planning issues
Potential to assist with high-end Medicaid Crisis Planning

You Must Have/Apply
Virginia Bar Admission, with Maryland or DC Bar admission, or UBE results sufficient to get licensed in MD and DC
At least one year of experience in estate planning and/or elder law, or a strong desire to start and devote your practice to these fields, or switch from another area of law
Positive attitude with ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and empathetically with clients and team members
Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor; commitment to quality and follow-through
Ability to prioritize and organize workflow; self-starter who can also take direction
