We are seeking a
Certified Payroll Specialist
to join our team and support payroll operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with California certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, and high-volume payroll processing. Compensation
Base pay range: $83,000.00/yr - $83,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for high employee headcount with accuracy and timeliness. Prepare and submit California certified payroll reports in compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Ensure compliance with federal and state wage/tax laws, including FLSA, overtime, and meal/rest break regulations. Audit timecards, wage rates, and deductions to ensure accuracy. Maintain employee payroll records and respond to payroll-related inquiries in a professional manner. Collaborate with HR and management teams on payroll compliance and reporting. Leverage payroll and timekeeping systems to streamline processes and reporting. Requirements
1+ year of California Certified Payroll experience. 1+ year of prevailing wage payroll reporting. Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and tax laws, FLSA, and overtime requirements. Experience with high-volume payroll processing. Tech savvy with excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UltiPro/UKG HRIS and Kronos timekeeping systems. Bi-lingual in Spanish (oral and written). Payroll experience in the shipping, logistics, or storage industry.
