Summary: We are a medium-sized contractor experiencing strong growth, and we're looking for a high-performance Certified Payroll Compliance Coordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day aspects of certified payroll and prevailing wage projects. Responsibilities
Process weekly certified payroll in various certified payroll programs: LCP Tracker, eMars, Elation, eComply, WH347, DIR. Process essential compliance forms, including DAS 140 & DAS 142; Fringe Benefit Statements; Monthly Fringe Payment reports; Apprentice Certificates (DIR & Federal DOL); Afidavits of Completion; Skilled & Trained workforce reports, Section 3 reporting. Research and retrieve DIR numbers, determine appropriate wage determinations. Set up wage and fringe rates for new prevailing wage projects with accuracy. Maintain wage increases for prevailing wage projects. Maintain and organize labor compliance records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. Serve as a liaison between various departments and external agencies on labor compliance matters. Team player. Conduct routine audits to verify compliance with labor laws and industry regulations. Address and resolve labor compliance issues promptly and effectively. Generate retroactive payroll adjustments for late time entries, pay increases, and apprentice level changes. Qualifications
High school diploma required; additional education or certifications in payroll, labor compliance or related fields are a plus. 6+ years of experience in certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance. Proficiency in certified payroll software, such as LCP Tracker, eMars, eComply, Elation, WH347 and DIR. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 11, Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams. Strong experience in prevailing wage enforcement, payroll analysis, and auditing. In-depth knowledge of employment practices in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of state and federal labor regulations. Ability to work independently with accuracy and strategic thinking, while also knowing when to verify, collaborate, escalate, or seek input. Resourceful and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
