RWE Clean Energy, LLC is seeking a Sr Associate, Asset Management to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that can start as soon as possible. Role Responsibilities
The Sr Associate will assist the Asset Manager in driving the profitability of wind, solar, and battery storage assets by analyzing operational and financial performance and identifying causes for underperformance. The Associate will also support the development, implementation, and management of production enhancement or cost savings initiatives resulting from the performance analysis. Asset Performance Optimization: Monitor asset performance, investigate underperformance, and develop and implement strategies to maximize operational performance; manage technical issues to ensure strategies are fully analyzed and appropriate solutions developed and implemented. Financial Management: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of individual assets; drive long-term profitability and risk minimization. Contract Management: Oversee contracts with suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives. Risk Management: Identify and assess risks related to asset performance, market conditions, and regulatory changes. Monthly Reporting: Review monthly operating reports; support the presentation of monthly availability and financial analysis for internal stakeholders. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations and ensure that projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental permits. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Assist in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans by studying market conditions and internal operational needs; identify technological and commercial opportunities and present assumptions and objectives to achieve performance targets. Process Improvements: Implement and continuously improve local asset management systems and processes consistent with organizational policies and standards. Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field or 2 additional years of comparable work experience; Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus. Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the renewable energy sector. Asset Management, Operations, or Controlling experience is highly desirable. Experience in asset management and/or technical expertise in the renewable energy industry. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to translate technical findings into commercial implications. Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements (esp. ERCOT). Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage internal/external relationships. Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams. Strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team. Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Detail-oriented with sound understanding of business concepts. Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in California or Illinois is $90,000 - $135,000. This range represents our good faith estimate for new hire salaries across U.S. locations. Salary is a general guideline and may reflect scope and responsibilities, candidate education and experience, training and certifications, key skills, and market conditions at the time of offer.
