Reworld is seeking a highly skilled
Sr. Payroll Practitioner
to process and maintain certified payrolls for our U.S.-based locations while serving as a backup for both U.S. and Canadian payroll operations. This role ensures compliance with government regulations, prevailing wage requirements, and company policies while providing accurate, timely, and customer-focused payroll services. Work schedule:
3 days in office, 2 days from home (Hybrid) Work Location:
Florham Park, NJ Primary Responsibilities
Certified Payroll
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports (e.g., Form WH-347) for government contracts/projects, ensuring compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage regulations. Accurately calculate prevailing wage and fringe benefit rates for employees on certified projects and ensure timely payout through Payroll. Maintain supporting documentation for project hours worked and fringe benefit calculations. U.S. & Canada Payroll (Ontario/Quebec)
Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll for 800+ employees on weekly/biweekly cycles. Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, local, and Canadian provincial payroll/tax regulations. Validate timecards, process adjustments, and ensure approvals are completed prior to payroll deadlines. Research, troubleshoot, and respond to payroll and time/attendance inquiries. Create and maintain employee rotations, pay policy setups, and accrual tracking, where necessary. Partner with the Benefits team to ensure accuracy of leave and related pay. Process new hires, terminations, and staffing changes with appropriate documentation. Administer garnishments and act as liaison with agencies and bureaus. Process off-cycle payments, reimbursements, and stop-payment requests as needed. Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley controls. Provide customer service support to employees across corporate and facility locations. Collaborate with Payroll and HR teams on ongoing projects and process improvements. Qualifications & Requirements
Payroll certification preferred, but not required (FPC, CPP, PCP, or CPM). Minimum 3-5 years of payroll experience, including U.S. and Canadian payroll. Minimum 2 years handling certified payroll for government contracts. Strong knowledge of payroll and tax regulations, including prevailing wage laws. Experience with wage attachments and garnishment administration. Exposure to union payrolls or collective bargaining agreements a plus. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to support employees at all levels. Experience with Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with UKG Dimensions or similar time and attendance systems preferred. Our DEI Commitment
