WoodmenLife is seeking a Sr Compensation Consultant to join our team. The Sr Compensation Consultant supports the compensation strategy by analyzing, designing, recommending, implementing and communicating compensation plans including base pay, short- and long-term incentive plans, total compensation analysis, pay administration, compliance, job evaluation, grading, and labor market pricing. They will develop and facilitate education and communications surrounding compensation philosophy and programs. They will analyze compensation data and trends, interpret data for insights and provide recommendations to ensure internal and external equity across division and functions. Evaluates new and existing positions by investigating and analyzing position duties, responsibilities and qualifications to determine the appropriate labor market based pay, job grade, FLSA classification and pay levels; conducts and facilitates job analysis questionnaire process as needed. Partners with Talent Acquisition to develop offers for complex or challenging situations. Guides the business areas in developing job descriptions to accurately describe job content and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Researches and recommends incentive design models for non-exempt, professional and executive-level roles. Develops, implements and administers new compensation policies and programs to align with the organization’s strategy. Provides reporting and analytics to support recommendations for compensation design and implementation. Provides summary analysis and evaluation of results for all compensation programs; prepares special studies and recommendations on compensation programs. Supports development of Board of Directors Compensation Committee meeting agendas, presentations and materials. Develops and participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information and determine the company’s competitive position; manages survey submissions and serves as the point of contact for survey providers. Manages relationships across Divisions and provides compensation recommendations to support talent attraction and retention; advises leaders on pay decisions and policy interpretation; designs and administers pay structure, merit matrix, and related policies. Leads the annual merit and incentive process including drafting plan documents, timelines, communications, training leaders, and administering payouts. Ensures processes and programs are compliant with regulatory requirements. Identifies opportunities to improve and automate compensation processes. Informs associates on compensation philosophy and programs through communications and education sessions. Partners with HRIS to ensure systems meet compensation needs. Assists HR Business Partners and Benefits team with projects as assigned by management. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience. Seven or more years in HR with at least five years in compensation analysis, market pricing, data analysis and financial concepts. Experience designing rewards programs and policies. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel; strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and project management; ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Ability to create or reengineer processes to deliver high-quality results. Strong interpersonal skills to influence, negotiate and interact with vendors and stakeholders at all levels. Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers and to meet or exceed expectations. Ability to prioritize multiple demands and adapt with flexibility. Desired Qualifications
