The Position
Vice President, Human Resources Reporting to the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Human Resources will serve as the senior-most HR leader at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. This executive will set the strategic vision for the HR function while overseeing daily operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards, HRIS, compliance, and organizational development. The VP will lead an HR team of approximately 20, with direct reports across HR operations, analytics, and occupational health. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of a high-performing, values-driven healthcare organization through people-centered leadership and partnership. The VP will work closely with executive leadership to enhance workforce strategies, guide cultural transformation, and elevate the employee experience. The ideal candidate is strategic, hands-on, emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and has a strong understanding of California healthcare employment complexities. Experience/Qualifications
8+ years of progressive HR leadership, preferably at the VP or Director level. Healthcare experience in California within the last 5 years strongly preferred. Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Experience with HRIS implementations; UKG preferred. Strong understanding of California labor laws, compliance, and employee relations. Experience supporting board-level reporting and governance is a plus. Compensation
For the selected candidate, a complete and competitive compensation package will be offered, including a salary target of $346,000 +/- depending on experience, incentive compensation, deferred compensation, a full benefits suite, and relocation assistance. Location
