Talent Sourcer for Executive Recruitment at AdventHealth The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Consumer Operations is accountable for all strategy and daily execution within their area. The indirect areas of oversight include, but are not limited to, Patient Access including Pre-Access and Registration and Digital Consumer Engagement tools. The VP of Revenue Cycle Consumer Operations is a key member of the Revenue Cycle team and provides insights as organizational strategies are reviewed and developed to drive consumer engagement. The executive is expected to establish a culture of high accountability and performance on key metrics, while identifying next metrics to drive continuous improvement. The VP manages relationships with external business partners that support the revenue cycle and assesses changes to services and consumer-facing procedures. The leader communicates effectively with staff and executives in a matrix management environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all activities of personnel in digital consumer engagement tools, including workflows designed to optimize customer experience and maximize reimbursement.

Provide direction for consumer engagement and pre-access and registration functions, supplying stakeholders and managers with tools to operate effectively and advance strategic imperatives around consumer engagement.

Formulate reporting and analytics strategies applied across the organization and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize development of additional consumer engagement opportunities and analytics around pre-service patient access and time of service registration.

Monitor, analyze and assess consumer engagement opportunities and coordinate activities with opportunities for improvement in automating patient access and registration.

Participate in digital health and revenue cycle task forces and committees to provide updates and decisions around issues and remediation plans; devise new methods and approaches to improve processes across the organization.

Understand the interdependencies of AdventHealth structure and represent AdventHealth interests to internal and external stakeholders.

Empower team leadership to develop methods of process improvement, including planning, prioritizing, performance assessments, implementing improvements, and sustaining gains.

Translate AdventHealth and revenue cycle divisional vision into meaningful results; provide direction for complex business decisions aligned with strategic, operational, and financial goals.

Serve as primary contact to Senior Vice President, Revenue Management for implementation of key Patient Access tools, improvement of Point of Service collection, and enhancements of core consumer pre-access and patient registration processes.

Work with stakeholders to implement system-wide initiatives across people, process, technology, and strategy to optimize proactive denial and follow-up processes and promote consistency/standardization.

Demonstrate commitment to quality, patient-centeredness, productivity and continuous improvement; apply broad understanding of health care delivery, strategy, operations, and finances.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Expert in Revenue Cycle processes with understanding of key integration points.

Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex information to all levels of staff and Senior Leadership.

Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.

Superior leadership experience, especially in cultivating a high-performing team and maintaining excellent relations with physicians and staff at all levels.

Collaboration with patient access, revenue cycle and patient financial services leaders to implement best practices and improve overall revenue cycle performance.

Ability to identify latent skills in Directors and provide opportunities for development.

Proven ability to inspire high performance, foster collaboration, coach effectively, and model balance in life and work.

Ability to use data to inform and develop improvement strategies.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred

Experience in ambulatory or institutional revenue cycle management is preferred.

Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Knowledge of and experience with revenue cycle and healthcare financial performance metrics.

Vendor and contract management experience.

Education and Experience Required

BS in Business Administration (or equivalent).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Patient Access/Patient Financial Services or related area.

Minimum 5 years of related team leadership experience.

Licensure, Certification or Registration Required

Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) – HFMA

Certified Revenue Cycle Executive - AAHAM

American College of Healthcare Executives - ACHE

Job Details

Location: Lake Mary, FL

Salary: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00
