About the Role Manage Air Permitting and Compliance for Hawthorne Army Depot: Manage and maintain Nevada air quality permits (Class I and Class II) ensuring relevancy and compliance. Coordinate with HWAD personnel and regulators on air compliance matters. Oversee regulatory compliance activities, including emissions testing, continuous monitoring, and inspections, managing subcontractors as needed. Develop and implement plans and procedures. Prepare internal and external reports. Supervise internal environmental audits. Maintain records required by regulations. Support other HWAD environmental compliance areas (hazardous waste, water, etc.). Assist with managing RCRA Hazardous Waste TSDF permits and NPDES wastewater discharge permits. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, environmental sciences, or related field. At least 7 years of environmental management experience. Knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and regulations. Experience obtaining and managing permits. Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities. Experience with environmental management systems. Certified in 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, with 8-hour refresher. Ability to obtain a “Secret” security clearance. Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat. Nice to Have Experience working on a Department of Defense (DoD) facility. Employment contingent upon background check and drug screening.
