Position Title :: Lead NOC Engineer Duration :: Long Term Contract Locations :: Westerville OH

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Support Lead a team of

L2 network engineers

in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex network issues. Provide technical mentorship, training, and performance reviews for

L2 engineers . Provide

escalation support

for advanced network problems beyond L1 capabilities. Perform

root cause analysis (RCA)

and implement preventive measures. Oversee

network and security infrastructure monitoring

to ensure maximum uptime and performance. Project Management, Documentation & Process Improvement

Develop and enforce

standard operating procedures (SOPs)

for network troubleshooting and change management. Work closely with

cross-functional teams (L1, L3, security, infrastructure)

for seamless network operations. Ensure adherence to

ITIL processes

for incident, problem, and change management. Lead network improvement projects, migrations, and new deployments. Maintain accurate network

documentation, diagrams, and inventory records . Coordinate with vendors and service providers for

network maintenance, upgrades, and SLAs . Network and Security Operations & Optimization

Provide technical support for network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VLANs, Firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Wireless and Azure networks. Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues, outages, and security incidents in a timely manner. Perform analysis, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Configure, maintain, and upgrade SDWAN routers, Cisco catalyst 9300 switches, Cisco FTD/Palo alto on prem and cloud firewalls, Infoblox grid and load balancers from vendors like Cisco, F5, Infoblox and Palo Alto. Implement and maintain network security policies, including VPNs, ACLs, and firewall rules. Work closely with L2 engineers to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. Support and troubleshoot SD-WAN, MPLS, and cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure). Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and compliance requirements. Disaster Recovery planning and support, ensuring availability of applications during regular DR exercises by supporting network and security infrastructure. Ensuring 24*7 Network availability by performing automated health checks across all on-prem/cloud Network/Security infrastructure. Maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations, and incident reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network infrastructure improvements, migrations, and deployments. Required Skills and Qualifications:

12+ years of experience in network administration, troubleshooting, and support. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing protocol (BGP, OSPF), and switching solutions Hands-on Experience on Cisco FTD, Palo alto, Meraki MX and Azure firewalls, Cisco Secure Client VPNs, and security best practices. Hands-on Experience on F5 LTM and Azure load balancer (Application gateway, traffic manager and front door load. Hands-on Experience on SDN based solutions SDWAN Viptela, SDWAN Meraki and Cisco Catalyst center. Hands-on Experience on Infoblox DDI solutions and F5 global traffic manager. Hands-on Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) solutions and troubleshooting support. Familiarity with network monitoring and packet analysis tools like SolarWinds, Netbrain, Live-NX, Lucid and wireshark Experience on service now Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Viptela or other enterprise-grade network equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues. Good communication and skills. Strong

leadership, communication, and team management

skills. Ability to handle

high-pressure environments and 24/7 network operations . Strong communication, collaboration, designing and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have:

Experience with

automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform) . Exposure to

VoIP, QoS, and multicast networking . Preferred Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree

in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field. A

Master's degree

in Networking, Telecommunications, or a relevant field is a plus but not mandatory. Technical Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory):

Cisco Certifications:

CCNA (mandatory), CCNP (highly preferred) Juniper Certifications:

JNCIA, JNCIS Fortinet Certifications:

NSE 4, NSE 5 (if dealing with Fortinet networks)

Other Relevant Certifications:

Palo Alto PCNSE, AWS/Azure Networking Certifications
