Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivate strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion. Job Overview

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in understanding market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, enabling the development and execution of effective sales strategies and promotion of cutting-edge oil-free air compressor solutions. Responsibilities

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets for large engineered rotating equipment, identifying and prioritizing target markets and customer segments. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover new business opportunities, understand market trends, and inform sales strategies. Analyze existing and potential distributors, set goals, review performance, assign territories, and actively manage distributor relationships to expand market reach. Provide training, support, and ongoing engagement with distributors to strengthen their ability to sell products and maintain visibility into their sales pipelines for accurate forecasting. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, engaging directly with large or strategic accounts to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions when selling direct. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, product development, and customer service to align on customer requirements, address feedback, and support sales activities. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports while maintaining CRM records, tracking customer interactions, monitoring performance, and forecasting sales. Maintain deep technical knowledge of assigned rotating equipment and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the industrial equipment sector. Proficient in computer-related skills; Microsoft Office Suite applications and CRM software. Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic sales plans. Core Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of engineered rotating equipment. Demonstrate an understanding of strategic account and vertical segment business drivers. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with strong ability to explain technical information. Achievement-oriented and willing to put a high level of effort to produce results in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. Demonstrated qualities of creative approach to problem solving and risk taking. Preferences

Master's degree Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This is a remote role, with expected travel of 50-75% as needed. Pay Range

The total pay range for this role, not including incentive opportunities, is $125,000- $140,000. What We Offer
