JOB INFORMATION Job Title: Vice President, Operations Department: Administration Reports To: Chief Operating Officer Responsibilities
Ensures the P&T Supply Chain is optimized for profitability while functioning in full support of continued sales growth Manages Director of Quality, Director of Warehousing and Transportation Manager. Collaborates with Director of Purchasing to maximize return on inventory investment. Oversees negotiations with vendors. Supports Director, Warehousing towards improving customer service, while improving efficiencies within the warehouse operation Develops quarterly goals of warehouse improvement, reporting on progress to the Chief Operating Officer In cooperation with the Transportation Manager, negotiates carrier agreements and determines the discount level used for AddOnCost and AddOnCharge Cultivate strategic partnerships with customers and vendors while in constant pursuit of solutions that advance profitability, growth and cash flow for P&T Other tasks as assigned Required Skills
Highly Developed Leadership Abilities, Strong Organization and Management Skills, Advanced Diplomacy and Communication Proficiencies, Cross Functional Expertise, Advanced/Progressive Computer, Problem-Solving Skills and Strong Negotiation Skills. Financial Acumen for effective budget management (P&L). Minimum Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Management or related field. An MBA is preferred but not required. Required Experience
The successful candidate will have 5 years’ experience as a Supply Chain Manager. They will also have experience in staff mentoring, negotiations, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and managing P&L. Direct experience with a logistics provider is required. Industrial engineering experience, a plus. Notes
