Overview
Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) — Duration: 06+ Months (Extendable). Location: Shakopee, MN (on site). Pay rate: $30.00 – $33.33/hr on W2. Shift: Monday – Friday during normal business hours; core hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm but can be flexible to fill an 8hr shift.

Responsibilities
Dig into issues to identify root causes and work with suppliers to develop corrective actions.
Work independently effectively and efficiently.
Maintain clear communication within the department and across departments.
Investigate and resolve supplier nonconformances and drive robust corrective actions with suppliers.
Provide support and subject matter expertise during PSP and Kaizen events.
Report on assigned Key Performance Indicators at Daily Management.
Perform other projects and job-related functions as assigned.
Follow safety procedures as applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or other science-related discipline. Manufacturing or Quality Assurance experience is a plus.
Understanding of different manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, extrusions, stamping).
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with product drawings, specifications, measurement tools, and metrology.
Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability, and Quality Control Plans is desired.
Certifications such as CQE, CQA, and CSQP are desired.
Training and qualifications specific to the role are provided during assignment.
