Job Summary

Working as a

Regional Director of Operations (RDO)

you will lead, run, and encourage a team within Mount Sinai Health System across Metro NY. Collaborate with the regional leadership team and provide planning, direction, and mentorship to the accounts in your territory, while establishing and maintaining strong client relationships. Your goal is to achieve operational and financial goals in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Hires, leads, directs, coaches, trains, and develops lead team members within a growing region of acute care hospital accounts

Drives and develops self and team towards building positive relationships with client(s) and achievement of critical metrics (profitability, safety, engagement, etc.)

Assists with acquiring profitable new business and expands existing business within the assigned geographic area. Participates in the sales process for the acquisition of new business.

Sets tone for culture of organization in the region and regularly meets with extended team to ensure full transparency, understanding, accountability, and alignment

Collaborates with key partners to support regional initiatives

Visits units regularly to inspect unit operations to ensure contract compliance

Responsible for managing client relationships through the management and leadership of multiple operations

Works with leaders on accounting and budget processes

Ensures consistent and fair administration of all policies and procedures

Participates in food quality meetings

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university required, with minimum eight (8) years validated experience in multi-unit foodservice or hospitality management

Day travel within NY Metro region required in this position, with some overnight travel

Previous healthcare food service experience required

Strong background in a senior leadership role with exposure to contract management, customer service, people development, environmental services, etc

Strong background of driving patient satisfaction

Ability to think quickly, analytically, strategically, and accurately

Experienced client relationship, influencing, listening, and communications (written and verbal) skills

Champions an inclusive approach, and is proactive, positive, professional, flexible, and resilient

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs

Targeting a November 2025 start date for this position.
