R-23113The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location.Location: Orange, CT (Office position)Salary range: $85,900.00 to $107,375.00**Job Summary**As the procurement and commercial lead, you will drive and deliver purchases for Avangrid Power Onshore. You will lead and administer the competitive bidding process, evaluating proposals, selecting suppliers, and managing partnerships in support to projects valued up to several hundred million dollars. Your role will include driving cost reduction initiatives, maintaining high levels of customer service, and generating necessary reports, presentations, and other documents. This position will operate within the Procurement Team and its associated guidelines but interface regularly with the Organics Growth and Operations and Maintenance business’ teams to ensure purchases meet all company requirements.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.**Key Responsibilities*** Strategically sources commodities and services on critical infrastructure/major projects and other projects valued at up to several hundred million dollars, using a variety of traditional and leading edge methods.* Assures an uninterrupted supply of goods and services across all affiliates.* Administers the competitive bidding process, evaluates and selects suppliers based on the Procurement Services Policy Manual and annual budgetary requirements.* Leads cross-functional affiliate teams to drive purchasing initiatives and improve bottom line performance. This includes participation in Global teams, RFPs and initiatives with other Avangrid businesses as necessary.* Centralizes the procurement function for all affiliates and solicits assistance from subject matter experts, and others within the business, as required.* Maintains current and accurate understanding of a broad base of commodities, service categories and general business conditions.* Tracks material/service costs, and performance using approved metrics and tools* Analyzes trends and makes corresponding sourcing decisions that contribute directly to the company's competitive position.* Supports Equal Opportunity programs and initiatives.* Negotiates and awards multi-faceted, large and complex, business wide and affiliate specific enterprise contracts to minimize operational, legal and financial risks.* Formulates requests for proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk evaluations. Directs supplier negotiations and administers agreements.* Collaborates with both internal and external legal counsel.* Drives creative solutions and communicate/suggest best practices to management and colleagues.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance or relevant field with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.* 2 years of experience in supplier management, including experience qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and managing supplier quality.* Advanced capabilities with oral, written, and presentation related communication skills.* High-level of Customer Service Orientation.* Clear commercial focus (i.e., Contract writing, negotiation).* High-level of computer skills with the ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of products and e-bidding system.* Advanced skill level of prioritization and multi-tasking skills with the ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing business environment with typically tight schedules and demanding targets.**Preferred Qualifications*** Prior experience in the renewable or energy industry.* PMP, C.P.S.M, or equivalent certifications or working toward achievement**Competencies*** Growth & Continuous Improvement* Initiative & Change* Focused on Results* Customer Centric (internal and/or external)* Communication* Collaboration* Agile**Disclaimer**Avangrid is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
