Position Summary:
The Vice President of Strategy for LNNA UK will be responsible for shaping and driving the division’s long-term growth strategy. This includes leading market intelligence, developing new business models, evaluating M&A and partnership opportunities, and steering cross-functional strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and industry insight to support transformational change and sustainable competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the long-term strategic roadmap for the LNNA UK division.
Partner with the executive leadership team to develop and refine corporate objectives and strategic plans.
Lead annual strategic planning processes, including market assessments and scenario analysis.
Market and Competitive Intelligence
Conduct in-depth analysis of legal technology trends, competitive landscape, customer needs, and regulatory changes.
Generate actionable insights and recommendations to inform product, go-to-market, and investment strategies.
Growth Initiatives
Identify and assess new business opportunities, markets, and technologies aligned with the company's core competencies.
Drive inorganic growth strategies including partnerships, alliances, and M&A evaluations.
Strategic Projects and Transformation
Lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver on strategic priorities such as AI implementation, platform modernization, and customer experience innovation.
Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on strategic challenges and opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Finance, and Corporate Development teams.
Prepare and present strategic recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and RELX corporate executives.
Qualifications:
Experience:
10+ years in senior-level management, corporate strategy, business development or consulting, ideally within the legal market or legal enterprise technology sector. Customer Centricity:
Proven ability to lead with a customer driven mindset, consistently aligning strategy, innovation, and execution to deliver exceptional value and experiences. Leadership:
Strong executive presence, thought leadership, Cross-Functional influence, Change Agent, Collaborative Mindset, and Ethical Leadership. Skills:
Exceptional relationship-building, Strategic Planning & Execution, Market and Competitive Intelligence, Data-Driven decision making. Education:
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) preferred. We offer an appealing working prospect for our people. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. If performed in New York City, the pay range is $203,000 - $377,200.
