The Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a hands-on technical contributor supporting the installation, commissioning, and optimization of advanced production equipment and automation systems. This role will bridge engineering, operations, and maintenance, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and software systems are properly integrated and documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and commission new production equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and validate equipment functionality, resolving electro-mechanical and software-related issues.
- Support SCADA, MES, and PLC system setup, programming, and integration with existing ERP systems.
- Perform equipment acceptance testing, both onsite and at vendor locations.
- Develop, review, and revise engineering documentation (schematics, work instructions, bill of materials, etc.).
- Collect, analyze, and report operational data to support process optimization and quality assurance.
- Conduct root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions for technical issues.
- Maintain the engineering lab and assist with preventative maintenance routines.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations to minimize production downtime.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Systems, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of engineering experience supporting industrial equipment in an automated or semi-automated production environment.
- Proficiency in reading and editing schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder logic (Siemens preferred).
- Skilled in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Experience with PLC and HMI programming, SCADA/MES systems, and industrial communications (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Familiarity with automation, robotics, and controls safety standards (NFPA 70E, NEC, etc.).
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment safety standards (control of hazardous energy, confined space, machine guarding, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite and digital documentation tools.
- Experience with mechanical manufacturing equipment (e.g., machining, grinding, etc.), robotic systems, and/or embedded controls is a plus.
- Experience with optical and laser systems (e.g., laser cutting, laser marking / engraving, optical inspection, etc.) is a plus.

Job Type: Salaried
Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000
Work Hours/Schedule: Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Based on business necessity, overtime may be required.
