Position Summary
Our Client, a
Fortune 150 leader in insurance and financial services , is seeking a
Product Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
with
3–5 years of experience
to support and enhance business-critical systems built on the
Microsoft software development stack, including .NET and C# . This role will focus on writing functional requirements, validating product releases, and troubleshooting issues, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals, compliance requirements, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with
Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, .NET, C#, Azure DevOps, and Jira , with the ability to partner with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and compliance in insurance and financial services operations. Key Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure product features meet operational and compliance requirements. Write
functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
for enhancements and new product features. Manage and prioritize the product backlog using
Jira
and other Agile tools. Conduct
product validation and testing
following software releases to ensure accuracy, stability, and compliance. Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with developers on bug resolution within
.NET/C# applications and SQL-based systems . Work closely with engineers to
define, prioritize, and deliver Microsoft stack–based solutions
supporting insurance and financial services workflows. Contribute to the
product roadmap , balancing business priorities and technical capabilities. Build reports, dashboards, and BI tools leveraging SQL, SSRS, and data warehouse structures to support decision-making. Participate in
user acceptance testing (UAT)
and support change management and user training. Ensure all product solutions meet
industry regulations and compliance standards
(SOX, CFPB, and other applicable insurance/financial regulations). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience
as a Product Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role within
insurance or financial services . Hands-on experience with the
Microsoft software development stack , including: .NET and C# development environments
(ability to read/debug code and collaborate with developers). SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Optimization) . SSIS and SSRS for ETL workflows and reporting . Azure DevOps, Jira, and Microsoft 365 . Strong knowledge of
SDLC methodologies
(Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid). Experience with
validation, testing, and troubleshooting
in Microsoft environments. Familiarity with insurance systems or enterprise financial applications a plus. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. PMP or Agile certification preferred
