Are you a seasoned procurement professional with a passion for software and a track record of driving cost savings? We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Procurement Category Manager to lead our software sourcing strategy. This role focuses on leveraging innovative, cost-effective solutions while building strong supplier partnerships. About the Role

As a Senior Procurement Category Manager, you will be the subject matter expert for software procurement. You will lead the end-to-end sourcing process, from strategic planning and market analysis to contract negotiation and supplier relationship management. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure our software procurement strategy aligns with business objectives. What You’ll Do

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and execute comprehensive software sourcing strategies, including SaaS applications and emerging technologies, with market analysis, spend analysis, and cost optimization opportunities. RFx Management: Lead and execute complex RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and other formal sourcing methodologies. Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate favorable terms, mitigate risk, and manage contract renewals leveraging competitive pricing, quality, and service levels. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conduct regular performance reviews. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and present to senior leadership (Director/VP level). Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and maximize value from software spend. Financial Acumen: Demonstrate a track record of cost reductions and tangible financial benefits. What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Experience in strategic sourcing and category management with a focus on software (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and related services. Ability to manage complex, high-value sourcing projects and RFx processes. Exceptional negotiation skills in commercial and contractual matters. Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis and market research. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels. Experience managing relationships with senior leadership. Proficiency in using procurement tools and technologies. Bonus Points

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Project Management Professional (PMP) Experience in IT or professional services such as solution architecture, network design, or systems integration. Location

The employee must be based in the Greater Chicago or Greater Boston Area with an expectation to be in office 3 days per week. Target Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 Pay transparency and equity information: pay varies by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer depends on the candidate.
